10 Yarn Color Palettes Inspired by Frozen Treats

Anyone who knows me can tell you that I am NOT a summer person whatsoever. The heat, humidity, bugs and never ending sweat droplets really make me grumpy!

I like to say that I dislike summer because I grew up in North Carolina with no air conditioning. Spending most of the summer underneath a fan as a child made me very appreciative of the cool air coming from the ceiling when I became an adult and had my own place with A/C.

The good news is — I have a remedy for my unhappiness during the summer months. I’m obsessed with anything FROZEN. Ice cream, slushies, popsicles — give them all to me! I’d say frozen treats are the only thing getting me through July and August each year.

I love using color palettes to find new color combinations that I typically wouldn’t think of! I’m always looking for color palettes that reflect the seasons and what better way to get some inspo for summer than ICE CREAM?

I’ve created 10 color palettes featuring Hobby Lobby’s “I Love this Yarn.” It’s my favorite 100% acrylic yarn and I’ve been using it for many years. It has never lets me down!

  3. I’m totally with you with regards to the heat. I thought I was going to die last week in Florida. And I love this yarn and I love this cotton are my favorite yarns to work with

    1. I’m going to Disney World in July and don’t think I’m going to make it out alive haha! I couldn’t live in Florida year round!
